These pictures are from our trip to the Shrine Circus in Corpus Christi this past weekend (9/8/07).
This was J.T.'s first ride on an elephant. And,
since Eddie had to stay home and work, it was
my first elphant ride in a long time. I was a
little worried that J.T. might be too afraid to
ride. We got up to the elphant and he started
getting real excited. I said, "See the elephant?"
He said, "Yeah ... I ride it!" We got to the front
of the line and he climbed on that elephant like
he'd been doing it all his life. (I survived, too.)
When we finished riding the elephant, we headed
over to the pony rides.. At first, it seemed
that
we were doing this in the wrong order ... but J.T.
seemed to enjoy the pony just as much as the
elephant.
Here's Emily on the pony ride. This was her
third trip to the circus, so she's an old pro.
After the pony ride, we headed up to our
seats to get ready for the show. We had
great seats ... right in front of the middle ring.

Smile on J.T.'s face ... Priceless
Remember the big smile on J.T.'s face? Well,
his little draw dropped when the tigers came
out ... he was in awe through the entire show.
Yea! More elphants!

This was cool. See that big metal ball?
Well, there were 6 guys on motorcycles riding
around in that thing. (BIG hit with J.T.)

This is neat ... see the tractor that J.T. is
playing with? It belongs to my grandfather.
I asked him about it today ... he said that he
got it for a Christmas gift when he was 6 years
old ... that makes the toy 79 years old!
